Job summary

Idea Nuova Inc. seeks a strategic, hands-on Director of Production to lead domestic and international operations for home textiles, décor, and consumer products.

You will manage the full lifecycle from PO placement to manufacturing, delivery, and payment coordination, driving efficiency and cost control. You will build strong manufacturing partnerships, develop high-performing teams, and leverage automation to scale our growing product portfolio while maintaining supplier performance and on-time

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in production, manufacturing, or operations with leadership.
• Experience managing domestic and international production operations.
• Bilingual English and Chinese preferred.
• Experience with high-volume, high-SKU portfolios.
• Strong background in overseas factory management, negotiations, and scheduling.
• Led teams of 5–10 employees.
• Experience implementing process improvements and automation.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/Supply chain systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee domestic and international production operations across multiple product categories and manufacturing partners.
• Manage end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, ensuring accurate execution and timely delivery.
• Develop strategies to optimize capacity, lead times, costs, and efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules and order status to ensure on-time delivery for major retail customers.
• Partner with Sales, Product Development, Sourcing, Logistics, and Finance to align production with priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with factories and suppliers.
• Monitor vendor performance across quality, cost, lead times, production accuracy, and delivery.
• Negotiate production timelines and address supply chain disruptions.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and accountability standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across global manufacturing operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve visibility.
• Implement standardized procedures and reporting tools to support growth.
• Develop production KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• Leverage ERP systems, Excel, and emerging tech to improve planning and decision-making.
• Lead scalable processes to handle increasing order volumes and SKU complexity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a production team of ~5–10 employees.
• Establish clear responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Coach team members to strengthen problem-solving and vendor management.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and a proactive, solutions-oriented culture.
• Represent the production department in leadership discussions and as a partner to senior management.
