Job summary

Crye Precision seeks a Production Director to own end-to-end outcomes across internal lines, subcontractors, and suppliers. This role leads production management, planning, purchasing, and raw materials with a data-driven approach, leveraging NetSuite and AI tools.

Extensive travel and a strong background in textile/apparel are required. You will drive on-time delivery, manage global suppliers, and push capacity up while reducing costs and lead times.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in textile/apparel production or sourcing leadership.
• Proven record negotiating with domestic and overseas mills and subcontractors.
• Real technical depth in fabrics, construction, testing and specs.
• Data-driven and process-oriented; ERP (NetSuite preferred) and Excel/BI knowledge.
• Enthusiastic user of AI and automation tools.
• Working knowledge of Berry Amendment, DPAS orders, ISO 9001 and government contracting.
• Direct, candid communicator; travel ~10-15%.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Own on-time, right-first-time delivery across internal lines, subcontractors, and international partners.
• Lead the full production organization: production management, planning, purchasing and raw materials.
• Run capacity and production planning in NetSuite with ATP/ship dates and priorities.
• Build and manage a global supplier/subcontractor base; negotiate price and lead times.
• Hold suppliers accountable with scorecards and corrective actions; enforce specs and CoCs.
• Identify risks early (single sources, long-lead fabrics, tariffs) and mitigate.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development to launch new products.
• Support growing international ops: qualify/manage foreign suppliers/factories.
• Replace spreadsheets with systems, dashboards, automation and AI tools; drive CI.
• Report weekly on OTD, WIP, capacity, supplier performance, and costs vs. plan.
