Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a global engineering team owning liquid cooling infrastructure in data centers. You will work on design, testing, and operation, with travel up to 30%. You will collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and operations to improve reliability and cost.

Experience in cooling product design and manufacturing practices is essential; a PE license is preferred. This role reports to AWS data centers’ liquid cooling initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Able to understand complex equipment specifications and piping/pumping systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering judgement and recommendations across projects.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and manufacturers for product improvements.
• Support operations with failure analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
