Job summary

Amazon Data Services is seeking a Product Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer to own and improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure. You will collaborate with product development teams, manage engineering ownership through lifecycle, and work with global suppliers to drive product improvements.

The role requires hands-on mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of cooling systems, and the ability to travel ~30% across domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities, including data centers and related facilities.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Possess strong engineering judgement and provide recommendations amid uncertainty.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Work with global liquid cooling equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Understand and explain complex systems clearly.
• Travel as needed, around 30%, mainly domestic with some international.
