Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own and improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure globally. You will work with development teams, evaluate design changes, and oversee lifecycle ownership from development to operation.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and manufacturing experience, plus knowledge of cooling systems and quality manufacturing practices. Occasional international travel is expected.

Formación

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Possess strong engineering judgement and provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
• Detail and data oriented in approach.
• Experience engineering air handling, piping and/or pumping products.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Work with global liquid cooling equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (reliability, operations, design, compliance).
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographic zones.
• Explain complex systems in clear and concise language.
• Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and SOP reviews for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve product reliability or availability.
• Collaborate with global suppliers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the global knowledge base and drive continuous improvement.
