Job summary

Harvard Bioscience in Minneapolis, MN seeks an energetic Project Manager to plan and execute activities for new product development. You will ensure projects are delivered within scope, on-time, and within budget, with travel to Asia and fluency in Mandarin.

Reports to the Vice President, Research and Development. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management, experience in engineering or product development, and a Bachelor's in business or technical field; PMP or similar certification

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management and related experience.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a technical field.
• PMP or other certification strongly preferred.
• Working experience in engineering or product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources (internal and external to department and company)
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans
• Track project costs to meet budget
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Report project status on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and adjust as needed
• Measure and report project performance to identify areas for improvement
