Job summary

Modine, a global leader in thermal management headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, seeks a cost analyst for HDE products. You will develop cost models, perform should-cost analyses, and collaborate across Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to meet target costs.

Travel to LAW and NLM plants is required to support launches and cost optimization. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 2–3 years of engineering experience, with strong Excel, costing tools, and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of Engineering experience required.
• Knowledge of costing drivers and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost models for HDE products (materials, labor, overhead, tooling, logistics).
• Conduct should-cost analysis and supplier benchmarking for cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to integrate cost targets into design and production decisions.
• Support LAW & NLM operations during plant start-ups, product transfers, and new launches with cost analysis and guidance.
• Monitor actual vs. estimated costs, perform variance analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in make-vs-buy evaluations and lifecycle cost assessments for HDE components.
• Prepare and present cost reports at key milestones to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving programs across HDE operations globally.
• Provide on-site support at LAW & NLM as needed (travel up to 10%).
• Participate in manufacturing process audits and support plant finance through standard hour studies.
