Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of engineering experience; finance or costing is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in costing tools and ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills; willingness to use AI tools.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration in a global environment.

Position Description

Product Line - Cost Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and profitable growth for the Global Data Center segment. Serving at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, this role oversees the cost estimating framework, ensures robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) phase-gate compliance, and accelerates commercial sales quotation activity.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical acumen, deep expertise in manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing structures, experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/SAP) systems, and a continuous-improvement mindset to build standardized tools, mentor junior analysts, and influence strategic operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• APQP Governance: Oversee and manage the cost estimating function to ensure full alignment with the APQP phase-gate process across all new product introduction (NPI) initiatives within the Global Data Center segment.
• Quotation Acceleration: Lead and streamline the generation of highly accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates to support fast-paced, sales quoting activities.
• Costing & Data Integrity: Conduct rigorous, proactive costing reviews to identify, investigate, and correct Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing discrepancies before estimates are finalized.
• Review & Challenge: Perform critical reviews of cost estimates, challenging assumptions as appropriate to safeguard gross margin targets and ensure competitive pricing structures.
• Make/Buy Strategy: Conduct rigorous financial evaluations and business cases to drive make vs. buy decisions and sourcing strategies.
• Costing Tools: Design, build, and maintain user-friendly cost estimation tools
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cost models reflect true shop-floor realities, supply market conditions, and operational capabilities.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Engineering experience. Experience in finance or product costing is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in costing tools and ERP systems.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Excel and willingness to leverage AI tools.
• Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.
