Global Procurement Specialist - Inventory & Sourcing

Job summary

HYTORC in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a Procurement Agent to manage tactical procurement of industrial tools, fasteners, and accessories domestically and internationally. The role supports supplier development and quality control while coordinating with the procurement team to meet sales demand.

You will prepare and issue POs, RFQs and SAP production orders, monitor inventory, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimal lead times and pricing.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent certification in supply chain, logistics or business.
• 3–5 years of relevant career experience in supply chain, logistics or business.
• 3+ years in a similar role; preferably in industrial engineering and manufacturing.
• Mastery of procurement, inventory management and demand planning best practices.
• Experience building stakeholder relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics methods and import/customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Procure goods at favorable price, lead time and terms while building supplier relationships.
• Coordinate requisitions review and processing; manage RFQ process with vendors.
• Prepare, review and issue purchase orders, RFQs and SAP production orders.
• Communicate with Customer Service, Product Management, Quality, Engineering and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Monitor inventory replenishment and determine PO levels and timing.
• Support quality control in vendor quality standards and corrective actions.
• Ensure procurement procedures are followed and professional.
• Assist Customer Service and stakeholders to confirm purchasing requirements for timely delivery.
