Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. is seeking a procurement professional in the United States to source materials, parts, and software for MELCO, coordinate exports to Japan, and support purchasing and administrative tasks through order processing and reporting.

The role requires 1–3 years in purchasing or related fields, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems, ITAR/EAR controls, and US export laws. Collaboration with Legal and ECA is essential for export licensing and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with purchasing, ERP or other business systems.
• Understanding of US-Japan business practices and cross-cultural environments.
• Eligible to access ITAR- and EAR-controlled data under US export laws.

Responsibilities

• Request quotations from MELCO RFQs and prepare MEUS quotations.
• Review pricing and negotiate with vendors before MELCO issues an order/receipt.
• Generate MEUS purchase orders to vendors from MELCO customer orders.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery schedules.
• Classify deliverables per MEUS Export Compliance Program (ECP).
• Assist in export license applications with DOS or DOC in coordination with Legal and ECA.
• Coordinate with freight forwarder to ship to locations outside the US.
• Support warranty issue resolution with MELCO and vendors.
• Review and implement purchasing agreements and vendor terms with MELCO/Legal.
