Hatch in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Procurement Intern to support the Project Delivery Group. You will liaise with packaging, planning and logistics to ensure timely, cost‑effective bid processes and supplier coordination.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in business or engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and prior co‑op or internship experience is preferred. In‑office with occasional remote work, travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or relevant discipline
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Responsibilities

• Be the liaison with Package Coordinator to obtain and verify technical specifications, with the Planner to verify lead times and delivery dates
• Prepare Commercial Bid documents and issue Bid Documents to Bidders from an approved Bidder’s List
• Manage the prequalification and selection of bidders
• Prepare and issue Bidders List and coordinate approval process
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the bid process
• Log bid questions and responses and issue addenda as required
• Coordinate technical evaluations and conduct commercial evaluations, use proper Incoterms, payment terms/milestones
• Review vendor comments of terms and conditions and incorporate Special terms
• Gain exposure to contractual scope compliance, cost control, schedule compliance, invoice auditing
• Learn to clarify/negotiate terms and prepare purchase orders or contracts
