Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Procurement Intern to support global offices from our Houston, TX location. You will assist with bid documents, supplier prequalification, and coordinating with planners, logistics, and vendors.

The role offers hands-on experience in commercial terms, Incoterms, and bid administration while you complete your degree. Training and mentorship are provided as part of Hatch's commitment to developing talent in a dynamic global team.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

  • Be the liaison with Package Coordinator to obtain and verify technical specifications, with the Planner to verify lead times and delivery dates, and with Logistics to assure cost effective and practical Incoterms.
  • Prepare Commercial Bid documents (including contractual terms and conditions, delivery requirements, quality/inspection requirements and other documents related to the scope of supply, etc.), and issue Bid Documents to Bidders from an approved Bidder’s List
  • Manage the prequalification and selection of bidders
  • Prepare and issue Bidders List and coordinate approval process
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the bid process
  • Log bid questions and responses and issue addenda as required
  • Coordinate technical evaluations and conduct commercial evaluations, use of proper Incoterms, payment terms/milestones including clarifications and/or negotiations
  • Review vendor comments of general terms and conditions and incorporate Special terms and conditions, asrequired
  • Gain exposure to contractualscopecompliance, cost control, schedule compliance, invoice auditing and recommendation for payment
  • Learn to clarify/negotiate the commercial terms and conditions, proper Incoterms, payment terms/milestones relating topurchaseorders and contracts as well as prepare and issue the purchase order or contract for execution

Hatch is seeking a Procurement Intern. Reporting to theProject Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from ourHouston, TXoffice location.

You bring to the role:
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite (including remote locations)
  • Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred
