Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC seeks a Director of Procurement to lead procurement strategy and supplier management for a growing organization. The role oversees a team and collaborates with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, R&D, and Quality to support expansion plans.

Responsibilities include long-range planning, supplier performance, inventory and production scheduling, and driving process improvements across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Experience leading personnel and teams in matrixed organizations as a collaborative leader that shares program information and requirements to enable success.
• Experience with Global Supply Chains.
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, and Six Sigma / Lean fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with all functions to ensure successful execution in supporting growth plans.
• Lead long-range planning and provide insight on supplier management based on quality, cost, and service.
• Own supply chain cost, inventory planning, internal production schedule, and quality containment plans.
• Manage Supply Planners and Schedulers.
• Interface with customer service to ensure satisfactory standards of service.
• Oversee Supplier Management process and drive improvements for a healthy value chain.
• Understand Working Capital requirements and cash flow related to inventory turns.
