Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• 15+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/chemical industries in engineering or manufacturing support.
• Ability to partner with and influence global senior leadership.
• 30% travel required due to global nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Establish process safety strategy for global manufacturing network and report to leadership.
• Engage globally with sites to implement process safety recommendations and improvement goals.
• Drive global Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) efforts and capital project design reviews.
• Develop and monitor the process safety roadmap to standardize processes and reduce risk.
• Provide technical support on design and safety issues across network sites.
• Lead process safety culture initiatives aligned with AbbVie's ZBA philosophy.
• Oversee process safety reviews during design/start-up for major capital projects.
• Create network dashboards for process safety KPIs and maintain industry best practices.
• Support internal EHS audits and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Lead talent development and performance management within the safety team.
