Job summary

Primient is seeking a Process Technology Engineer to provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations and lead continuous improvement projects across North America. The role emphasizes bench and pilot-scale work, economic analysis, and effective technical transfer to production environments.

You will work within Primient's CI framework, collaborating with technicians and plant managers, with opportunities for advancement through the Engineering Ladder.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of industrial experience, preferably within the GMP environment.
• Hands-on experience with process equipment.
• Experience in process development, experimental design, statistical analysis, process optimization, and scale-up.
• Stem-to-stern project experience (development to operations).
• Knowledge of unit operations including centrifugation, evaporation, filtration, ion exchange, chromatography/SSMB and enzyme reactors.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations.
• Lead process improvement projects.
• Design and execute bench and pilot-scale experiments.
• Evaluate and interpret experimental results.
• Provide economic analysis of current and future candidate process concepts and technologies.
• Communicate frequently with key stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Train technicians and other project team members on equipment use, data collection, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure effective technical transfer from the pilot plant to production environments, including documentation of KPIs.
• Analyze opportunities and guide actions around process improvement ideas.
• Foster collaborative and organizational learning.
• Monthly project reviews, management and growth of project pipeline from development to completion.
• Willingness to travel as required (generally <20%), primarily supporting North America operations.
