Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, or related process manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of DCS systems and industrial automation technologies.
- Experience implementing process control systems: development, testing, commissioning, startup support, troubleshooting.
- Understanding of business drivers for automation and alarm management programs.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience supporting technology investments and deployment decisions.
- Ability to lead technical teams and communicate complex concepts to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and drive the global Process Control Roadmap.
- Coordinate DCS, PLC, and process control upgrades across Celanese sites.
- Support digital manufacturing initiatives and Industry 4.0 deployment.
- Guide control system modernization and upgrade projects.
- Lead and mentor a global team of BPCS and process control experts.
- Support brownfield upgrades and site modernization efforts.
- Cultivate relationships with process control suppliers and partners.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrade solutions for major platforms.
- Advance Alarm Management program across sites.
- Support capital projects related to process control investments.
- Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders to align strategy.
