Job summary
Celanese in the USA seeks a Senior Manager, Global Process Controls & Automation to provide strategic leadership for process control across Celanese's manufacturing network. You will advance automation capabilities, set technical standards, and drive implementation of control solutions to improve safety, reliability, and performance.
You will lead a global team of BPCS and process control experts, guide upgrades across sites, and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or related field.
- 15+ years in chemical/petrochemical process manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of DCS and automation technologies.
- Experience implementing process control systems including development, testing, commissioning, startup support, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of automation and alarm management business drivers.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience supporting technology investments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and drive the global Process Control Roadmap.
- Support planning and coordination of DCS, PLC, and process control system upgrades across all Celanese sites.
- Drive Industry 4.0 digital manufacturing initiatives including alarm management upgrades.
- Provide strategic direction for control system modernization and upgrade projects.
- Lead and support a global team of BPCS and Process Control experts.
- Develop relationships with key process control suppliers and evaluate upgrade solutions.
- Ensure execution of capital projects related to process control.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align strategy across sites.
