Job summary

Veracross seeks a Privacy Director to oversee data protection across our global SaaS platforms serving independent K-12 schools. You will develop and implement privacy controls, policies, and programs to safeguard data and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will conduct DPIAs, manage data breach responses, and handle data subject requests while educating staff and collaborating with IT and operations. This role reports to the CISO and requires 3–6 years of privacy leadership experience, US work

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of privacy experience in SaaS or educational settings.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and related global privacy laws.
• Experience building and managing privacy programs.
• Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and incident response.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• US work eligibility and privacy certifications preferred (CIPP/E or CIPP/US).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Veracross' data protection and privacy program.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA and other global laws.
• Create, review, and maintain privacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and monitor compliance.
• Lead data breach response and data subject requests.
• Educate employees on privacy best practices and drive awareness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement privacy by design.
• Serve as main point of contact for regulators and individuals.
• Stay current with evolving privacy trends and regulations.
