Job summary

Trulioo, a global leader in digital identity verification, seeks a commercially minded Senior Director, Global Privacy & Data Protection to drive privacy strategy, data protection programs, and DPO duties across markets and products. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Sales to embed privacy by design and ensure regulatory readiness.

The role requires deep GDPR and US/Canadian privacy law knowledge, leadership in a fast‑growing SaaS environment, and the ability to operate

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, technology law, regulatory advisory, or related leadership roles.
• Extensive expertise in GDPR, European data protection expectations, U.S. state privacy laws, and Canadian privacy laws.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a senior privacy leader or DPO in a global technology environment.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams on privacy by design, data protection risk, and product launches.
• Experience with PIAs, DPIAs, data mapping, transfer mechanisms, DPAs and vendor risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead global privacy strategy and data protection across markets, products, and operations.
• Act as Data Protection Officer for Europe and advise on GDPR obligations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and legal to embed privacy by design in development and contracting.
• Develop governance, incident response, metrics, and executive reporting on privacy program maturity.
• Support AI governance, responsible data use, and external engagements with regulators and customers.
