Job summary

Carhartt seeks a Senior Manager, Technical Development – PPE to lead strategy for the PPE category. You will own material, trim, color, testing, and regulatory development to support a global pipeline of compliant, innovative workwear products and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Reporting to the Director, Product Development- PPE, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, monitor regulatory changes, and represent Carhartt on industry committees to ensure market compliance and product

Qualifications

8+ years in textile manufacturing or product development.
4+ years leading people.
Strong fabric, trim and color development background.
Knowledge of PPE/FR textiles and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

Coach and develop PPE team by setting priorities and accountability.
Lead material development for PPE across U.S. and global markets.
Establish raw material quality standards with QA and Sourcing.
Analyze fabric/trim test results for performance, durability and compliance.
Ensure PPE compliance with OSHA, ANSI, EN, ISO, ASTM, NFPA, ISEA.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Design, Manufacturing, QA, and Sourcing to develop, test, certify, and commercialize PPE.
Represent Carhartt on regulatory committees and monitor standards.
Travel up to 30% to assess suppliers and manufacturers.
