Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with 5–10 years of apparel experience to join our Industrial Design team in Milwaukee, WI. You will translate concepts into production-ready solutions, ensure fit, durability, and user experience across PPE products, and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to bring designs to life.

You will develop construction specs, grading, and patterns, review 2D patterns for accuracy, and contribute to BOM and PLM management.

Qualifications

5-10 years of apparel experience
Ability to translate design concepts into production-ready solutions
Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
Experience developing construction specs, fit standards, and documentation <=140 chars each

Responsibilities

Develop construction specifications, fit standards, and technical solutions.
Create and maintain measurement specifications, grading standards, and fit requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to translate design intent into production.
Review 2D patterns for technical accuracy and adjust to improve fit and production efficiency.
Review samples, identify issues, and lead corrective actions.
Assist BOM creation and manage material assembly for PPE products.
