Job summary

SEL in Illinois is seeking a Project Engineer II - Project Manager within Engineering Services. You will guide projects from bid through close-out, align with customer needs, and deliver on scope, schedule, and budget with safety as a priority.

You will prepare scoping, scheduling, budgeting docs, forecast performance with metrics, and lead teams to implement automation and protection systems. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Manage projects through full lifecycle from bid to close-out.
• Travel domestically and internationally at least 25%.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection, control, and automation.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand needs and develop proposals.
• Lead projects within scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining safety and quality.
• Prepare and maintain scoping, schedule, and budgeting documents.
• Use project performance metrics to forecast and report against baselines.
• Lead projects involving design, configuration, validation, installation, and operation of automation/protection systems.
