Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Plant Operations and Support Technical Trainer to empower plant operators worldwide with the knowledge to operate Siemens Energy power generation equipment. You will develop and present site-specific training programs for gas turbine projects and participate in simulator and I&C training initiatives.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical and I&C knowledge, 3+ years teaching technical curriculum, and the ability to travel up to 40% internationally and

Qualifications

• Vocational degree or Military experience in power plant operations and maintenance (5+ years).
• 3+ years as an instructor teaching technical curriculum preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and I&C knowledge related to power plant equipment.
• DCS Controls systems knowledge is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to understand customer needs.
• Willing to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and presentation of site-specific operator training programs and procedures for gas turbine projects, including travel to field assignments internationally and domestically.
• Support development and presentation of simulator and I&C training programs for customers and internal personnel.
• Build and communicate custom training programs for specific applications to meet customer and internal needs.
• Act as advisor and mentor on operational issues for power plants.
• Ensure training programs are developed and implemented to meet customer needs within time and budget constraints.
• Conduct detailed research, gather drawings and information to prepare training materials.
