Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in government affairs and/or policy, economics or international relations.
• Significant experience in public policy with knowledge of international policy and regulations impacting the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive policy analysis across business functions.
• Analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
• Strategic thinking with creative solutions and a flexible approach for a fast-changing environment.
• Well-honed political sensitivities and executive presence to work with high-profile stakeholders.
• Experience in international settings at national, regional or global levels preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science or public policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the International Policy & Analytics team in developing and executing an international policy strategy aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Represent International GA to senior executives across commercial, legal, regulatory and other functions, providing strategic counsel on public policy developments.
• Develop a monitoring and analytics process to assess impact and generate evidence to support AbbVie’s positions.
• Create and lead internal cross-functional and strategic working groups to assess policy proposals.
• Represent AbbVie in external engagements with government officials and trade associations.
