Anthony, Inc. in Cypress, CA is seeking a Plastics Project Engineer to drive long-term supplier development, tool lifecycle management, and risk mitigation for plastic injection molded components.

The role leads cross-functional teams from concept to production, coordinating tooling transfers, audits and new product introductions to ensure quality, cost-efficiency and timely launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in injection molding processes, tooling development, project management and cost savings in lean manufacturing.
• Direct involvement in qualifying tooling during molding processes.
• Experience with multi-cavity hot runner/cold runner tooling on 100-400 ton machines.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a 3-year plastics tooling roadmap to ensure global supply chain resilience.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQ evaluations and supplier audits to ensure quality standards.
• Formulate CapEx justifications, ROI models and business cases for tooling investments.
• Drive cost optimization, standardization and best practices across the supplier network.
• Develop and maintain supplier qualification processes and periodic audits.
• Communicate progress to leadership and align strategic programs.
• Orchestrate tooling transfers and NPIs with internal and external sites.
