Jane Street is seeking a Physical Security Operational Risk Manager to scale our global physical security program. This hands-on role sits within the Physical Security team in New York and focuses on risk reduction, global standards, and incident response across regions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in security/public safety, leadership, and experience with GSOC/PSOC, access control, CCTV, and emergency planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, emergency management, intelligence, public safety, or related field.
• Self-starter who can handle competing priorities and move quickly.
• Natural team leader with cross-department collaboration.
• Track record assessing and reducing physical security risk and building operating procedures.
• Experience working with law enforcement or intelligence partners.
• Familiar with GSOC/PSOC operations, guard force management, access control, CCTV, visitor management, and emergency response.
• Willing to travel up to 25% globally, on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional and global teams to identify, assess, and prioritize physical security risks across locations; coordinate mitigation from planning through execution; provide leadership visibility into risks and resource needs.
• Develop and maintain global operating standards (PSOC procedures, access control, incident response, guard force expectations, emergency procedures); set shared metrics and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate with regional teams to build relationships with law enforcement, emergency services, and government agencies.
• Manage the firm’s relationships with security risk and emergency providers; test escalation paths and plan for civil unrest and emergencies; run tabletop exercises and after-action reviews.
• Coordinate incident responses across global and regional teams and provide concise summaries and leadership updates.
