Job summary

Genentech is seeking an Enterprise Architect – Pharma Commercial to bridge Strategy, Portfolio & Governance with Pharma Medicines. You will orchestrate a global architecture network across Market Access, Marketing, Customer Engagement, Analytics, and Commercial Operations.

The role focuses on translating business goals into adaptable, future-ready technology roadmaps and leading a federated team of domain and solution architects. Strong pharma domain and cloud-native experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Science; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years IT and enterprise/domain architecture experience; migrates legacy systems to cloud-native.
• 5+ years of biotech/pharma industry experience.
• Experience navigating in a complex, matrixed global organization.
• Deep Pharma Commercial domain experience (Field CRM, Omnichannel Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services).

Responsibilities

• Align global business priorities with multi-year technology roadmaps and target-state architectures.
• Lead a federated network of domain and solution architects; establish shared priorities and standards.
• Drive architecture for initiatives like customer engagement modernization and AI-driven content supply chains.
• Develop and maintain commercial capability maps and inventories using ArchiMEDES.
• Guide investment decisions with Portfolio Management to optimize TCO.
• Monitor emerging commercial tech trends and evaluate vendors for a future-ready architecture.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and data governance across architectures.
