Job summary

the company.co is seeking a People Ops payroll specialist to own France payroll, contractor operations, and HR administration across France, the US, and remote locations. You will report to the Senior Global HR Systems and Operations Manager in Paris and help scale payroll as the team grows.

The role requires 3+ years in payroll or People Ops, fluent French and English, strong Excel, and experience with an HRIS.

Qualifications

3+ years in payroll, HR administration, or People Ops (apprenticeships count).
Strong knowledge of French payroll and labour law fundamentals.
Fluent French and English. English is working language.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; comfortable with numbers.
Experience with an HRIS.
Project management basics; handled deadlines and scope.

Responsibilities

Payroll and contractor operations end-to-end, including timesheets and provisioning.
Administer onboarding and offboarding logistics, employment documents, and benefits.
Manage employment documents for cross-border team (France, US, remote).
Serve as first point of contact for People questions; respond within SLAs.
Maintain HRIS data hygiene and workflows; drive People Ops projects end to end.
