Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Nashville, TN, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end processing of US and Canada payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance across the Workday payroll modules.

You will audit data, resolve discrepancies, interpret pay policies, and collaborate with HR to maintain records, answer employee questions, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of related experience required.
• For Canadian job: Solid knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance.
• For Canadian job: Must be bilingual (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll from start to finish with accuracy.
• Serve as point of contact for payroll queries; adjust pension and group insurance when needed (Canada).
• Conduct audits to verify payroll data and internal controls; process special pay.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies; reconcile complex transactions.
• Interpret pay policies and ensure correct deductions and remittance.
• Provide training and support to payroll team and other departments.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to payroll policy development.
