Job summary

Cook Medical in Bloomington, IN seeks a Manager, Payroll Operations to lead the Payroll Shared Services team, ensuring accurate, on-time, compliant payroll processing across designated markets. You will own data integrity within the payroll platform and drive process improvements with HR, Finance and IT.

You will mentor staff, set a roadmap for payroll tasks, and expand global payroll capabilities while maintaining strong governance and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant payroll experience, ideally in progressive payroll roles.
• Hands-on expertise with an HCM/payroll platform.
• Payroll certifications such as CPP or IPASS are preferred.
• Experience in global payroll processing and supervisory or management roles.
• Ability to use AI and data concepts to drive process improvements and automation.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day payroll operations for the Payroll Shared Services team to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• Serve as SME for payroll platform configuration, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
• Coordinate with Finance to reconcile payroll and post to GL.
• Lead process improvement, automation and AI-enabled workflows.
• Support global payroll expansion and onboarding of new entities.
• Mentor, develop and lead a scalable payroll team.
