Job summary

ComPsych is seeking a Global Payroll Lead to manage payroll across multiple countries and entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws. You will partner with in-country vendors, HR, and finance to optimize end-to-end payroll operations for an international workforce.

The role requires hands-on multi-country payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate varying regulatory environments across regions and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of payroll experience, including 1–2 years in multi-country payroll.
• Experience with payroll compliance in two or more countries outside the U.S.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms (ADP, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Rippling, or similar).
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reconciliation formulas.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under deadlines.
• Clear communication with employees, vendors, and stakeholders across regions.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple countries and align with local pay cycles.
• Collect, validate and input payroll data including hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses and deductions.
• Validate and audit payroll inputs prior to each pay run.
• Coordinate with in-country partners to execute payroll runs.
• Assist with reconciliation of payroll registers and GL postings.
• Process off-cycle payments, corrections and final payments per local rules and policy.
• Ensure compliance with local tax codes, labor laws, and reporting requirements across countries.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings, tax remittances, and year-end reporting with local vendors.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update payroll processes accordingly.
• Support audits with documentation and issue resolution.
• Oversee payroll data privacy and transfer of employee data affecting pay with HR.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries and resolve issues timely.
• Escalate complex issues to internal teams or external advisors and track resolution.
• Produce and distribute pay statements and earnings letters per local requirements.
• Support benefits administration as it intersects with payroll deductions.
