Job summary

Under Armour, Inc. is seeking a Director of Global Payroll & HR Operations to lead our enterprise payroll for 15,000 teammates worldwide. You will set payroll strategy, drive modernization, and partner with HR, Finance, Tax and Legal to build a digital-first payroll ecosystem.

This hybrid role requires 4 days in-office from our Baltimore HQ, with responsibility across 25+ countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalable processes while maximizing efficiency and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of payroll experience, including global payroll and tax exposure.
• 5+ years of people leadership in a multinational organization.
• Experience with payroll platforms, particularly ADP.
• Experience in accounting and corporate finance matters.
• Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central is a plus.
• Experience leading payroll transformations and system implementations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global payroll strategy aligned with UA priorities.
• Lead a global payroll organization with clear goals and succession planning.
• Champion data stewardship and continuous improvement.
• Oversee payroll delivery across 25+ countries with global standards.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and wage regulations.
• Manage payroll governance, SOX controls, audits, and risk remediation.
• Own timekeeping platforms and integration strategy (ADP, Globalview, SuccessFactors EC).
• Drive modernization of payroll data flow, automation, and AI-enabled processes.
• Establish global KPIs and dashboards for payroll performance.
• Partner with Accounting on monthly, quarterly close and GL reconciliation.
• Align payroll and Accounting SOX controls across systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization.
• Lead vendor management and cross-functional partnerships.
• Support enterprise-wide payroll transformations and system implementations.
• Mitigate risks to protect company and employees.
