Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly US payroll and monthly UK payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will review timekeeping, handle deductions, and support year-end tasks while maintaining confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with payroll systems (Workday preferred) and excellent communication skills to answer employee pay inquiries.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in payroll processing or related accounting/administrative role.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems; Workday experience preferred and Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data and confidential information.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly US payroll and monthly UK payroll.
• Review and verify timekeeping records, new hire data, terminations, and status changes for accuracy before each pay cycle.
• Review and process deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and other withholdings per policy and local laws.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations; audit payroll tax filings as required.
• Respond to employee pay inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end payroll close and forms (W-2, 1095-C, P60, P11D).
• Process off-cycle payments, corrections, and adjustments as needed.
• Support audits by providing payroll documentation and reports; stay current on payroll law changes.
