Job summary

MSCI seeks a Payroll Associate to join the Americas Payroll Team. This role supports multi-country payroll (US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil) and ensures accurate data processing and timely reporting.

You will collaborate with external providers and internal partners, manage payroll taxes and compliance, and participate in ad hoc projects while upholding data integrity and process controls.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years’ professional experience in payroll or payroll accounting.
• Experience in international/multi-cultural environment.
• Strong MS Excel and desktop applications.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Spanish desired.
• Payroll qualifications and diplomas are an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer assigned Americas payrolls with external providers in Mexico and Brazil and in-house processing for Canada and US.
• Ensure payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions are processed.
• Process bonuses, relocation, commissions, and other benefits.
• Audit, analyze and reconcile payroll; ensure tax laws and company policy compliance.
• Process reporting data for Legal entity controlling team timely.
• Handle NY 14-day rule processing and payroll tax correspondences.
• Research and resolve payroll inquiries; build relationships with internal and external departments.
