Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist

This role will be remote in Los Angeles, CA, with quarterly travel to our San Francisco, CA office. YOU MUST LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, CA TO BE CONSIDERED.

Role Overview

A Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries while supporting compensation strategies. They navigate complex tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies to maintain seamless payroll operations. Additionally, they analyze compensation structures, benchmark salaries, and promote equitable pay practices. Collaborating with HR, finance, and external providers, they resolve payroll discrepancies and optimize processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and employee trust globally.

Responsibilities

1. Own and process all payrolls, including biweekly, monthly RSU releases, quarterly commissions, and European payroll.
2. Lead vendor evaluation for international payroll.
3. Manage payroll-related agency reporting and audits (SOX and external).
4. Assist with compensation projects, role pricing, and analysis.
5. Partner with Finance for payroll audits and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in global payroll and compensation analysis, benchmarking experience.
• Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
• Understanding of multi-state laws, taxes, and their impact on reporting.
• Familiarity with compensation frameworks and salary benchmarking tools (e.g., Radford, Compensia, Pave).
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll implementations or vendor assessments.

Compensation

For Los Angeles residents, the annual salary range is $134,000 - $144,000 plus annual bonus. Final offers depend on experience, location, and other factors.
