Job summary

Babel Street is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Ops Specialist to support global payroll processing and broader accounting operations across multiple entities. The role reports to the Accounting Operations Manager and requires meticulous attention to accuracy, compliance, and scalable processes as the company grows.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in payroll or accounting, strong U.S. payroll knowledge, and experience with multi-entity environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll or accounting experience.
• U.S. payroll processing expertise.
• Operational accounting experience (AP, AR, sales tax, cash management, etc.).
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end global payroll processing for a dynamic, multi-entity company.
• Prepare U.S. semi-monthly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees, salaried and hourly.
• Coordinate with third-party payroll providers for U.S. and international payrolls.
• Maintain payroll records and support documentation; respond to inquiries.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
