Job summary

Babel Street is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Ops Specialist to support payroll processing across U.S. and international operations, reporting to the Accounting Operations Manager and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance. The role will provide operational accounting support and help scale payroll and finance processes.

The position requires 3+ years of payroll or accounting experience, U.S. payroll knowledge, and strong Excel and partnering skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll or accounting experience.
• U.S. payroll processing expertise.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is a plus.
• Solid understanding of payroll regulations and basic accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support end-to-end global payroll processing across multiple entities.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support payroll tax compliance activities and audits.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and payroll improvements.
• Assist with broader accounting tasks including billing, AR, AP, and cash management.
