- Execute and support end-to-end global payroll processing for a dynamic, expanding, multi-entity and multi-state company with approximately 250 worldwide employees
- Prepare U.S. semi-monthly payrolls, and special payrolls as needed, for exempt and non-exempt employees, salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with third-party payroll providers for U.S. and five International payrolls (Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, and UK)
- Maintain payroll records and support documentation
- Act as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective resolutions, and escalating complex, non-routine, or high-risk matters to the Accounting Operations Manager for review and guidance
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries for review
- Assist in payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations
- Support timely completion of payroll deliverables
- Support payroll tax compliance activities
- Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and audits
- Assist with audit documentation requests
- Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee data updates
- Collaborate on payroll-related improvements
- Support the Accounting Operations Manager with broader accounting and finance operation as needed
- Assist with sales tax compliance activities, including data preparation and coordination of filings
- Support accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, customer follow-ups and dunning communications
- Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks, reconciliations, and process improvements
- Provide backup support for other operational accounting processes as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- CPP certification preferred
- 3+ years of payroll or accounting experience
- U.S. payroll processing expertise
- Operational accounting experience (AP, AR, sales tax, cash management, etc.) preferred
- Experience in a multi-entity environment is a plus
- Working knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations
- Basic understanding of accounting operations and workflows
- Basic understanding of international payroll is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with HRIS platforms is a plus
- Experience supporting systems implementations, integrations, or process automation initiatives across payroll, HRIS, and accounting platforms is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to escalates issues appropriately
