Job summary

Geneva Search Partners LLC is partnering with a luxury travel organization in Chicago to hire a Payroll Accountant. This hybrid role offers 3 days in the office, a supportive culture, and opportunities to work across U.S. and international payroll operations.

You will manage payroll processing, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and handle journal entries and reconciliations while coordinating with accounting, finance, and HR teams.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of payroll and/or payroll accounting experience.
• Experience with ADP is highly desirable.
• Understanding of payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process payroll for employees in the U.S. and internationally.
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll activity to the general ledger.
• Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage payroll deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, and retirement activity.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related audits and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with employees and internal teams to answer payroll questions.
