Capital One is seeking a Senior Director of Risk Advisory for the Global Payment Network to guide risk management across network and merchant businesses. You will serve as a subject matter expert for one scheme (e.g., PULSE, Discover, Diners Club) and align risk activities with Capital One's enterprise framework.

You will lead a team of risk professionals, partner with Compliance, Legal, and Audit, and advise executives on regulatory requirements and industry standards globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience required.
• 5+ years in risk management or compliance in financial services.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• 5+ years of consulting/presenting to senior executives.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with first and second line to analyze risk management framework for network and merchant services.
• Educate and influence risk colleagues and senior leaders; provide advisory on risks.
• Advise business leaders on regulatory requirements, policies, and industry standards.
• Develop expert understanding of end-to-end network and merchant processes worldwide.
• Identify trends in data and network payments risks; monitor external/regulatory developments.
• Maintain SME status in payments industry and applicable global laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance considerations in expansions and new products; evaluate new opportunities.
• Develop relationships across Compliance, Legal, and Audit; coach team members.
• Support regulatory exam preparation and engagement; report to senior leadership.
