Job summary

PayPal Inc. seeks a seasoned attorney with payments and regulatory expertise to join our Product Legal team. You will partner with product leaders and regional partners across North, Central, and South America to guide development and compliance of PayPal products and services.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of federal/state consumer financial laws, data privacy rules, and global regulatory guidance, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a JD or equivalent.
• Admitted to a state bar in good standing.
• Experience in payments/FinTech regulatory counseling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized legal advice to enable business strategy while identifying and managing legal risk.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and regulations.
• Build partnerships with business counterparts and regional partners to identify risks and provide strategic guidance.
• Identify and advise on potential legal risks; present mitigation options to protect business objectives.
• Escalate complex issues to senior leadership as appropriate.
