The role requires advising on federal/state consumer financial laws, privacy, and enforcement actions, with a focus on global collaboration and business-minded legal counsel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant in-house or law-firm experience in product or regulatory counseling in Finance/FinTech.
• Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree; admitted to and in good standing with a state bar.
• Ability to collaborate with international colleagues in product, sales, and legal for global decisions.
• Experience providing legal advice on federal and state consumer financial laws, privacy, and regulatory guidance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and business judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized legal advice to enable business strategy while identifying and managing legal risk.
• Ensure awareness of and advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Build partnerships with business counterparts to identify legal risks and provide guidance.
• Identify, analyze, and advise on potential legal risks with mitigation options.
• Escalate complex issues to senior legal leadership when appropriate.
• Research and analyze new laws and regulatory guidance affecting global operations.
• Manage assigned legal matters with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Maintain knowledge of developments relevant to assigned areas and communicate implications.
