Job summary

VGS is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who thrives at the intersection of technology and business. You will map complex payment flows, design secure integrations, and align technical strategy with customer goals across enterprise merchants and payment ecosystems.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape roadmaps, deliver compelling architecture diagrams, and drive successful implementations across global payment networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting.
• Experience with large-scale card or credential migrations.
• Experience with multi-PSP, payment orchestration, or portability strategies.
• Background at merchant, PSP, processor, acquirer, issuer, or payment infrastructure company.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, data security, privacy, and compliance architecture.
• Proficiency with web services and APIs and full-stack development across languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for qualified opportunities from discovery to implementation handoff.
• Create architecture diagrams, proposals, demos, and proofs of concept.
• Lead responses for RFIs, RFPs, security reviews, and architecture assessments.
• Collaborate with customer engineers on APIs, webhooks, auth, data models, error handling, and integrations.
• Produce detailed handoffs covering architecture, responsibilities, testing, and success metrics.
