Job summary

Sony Engagement Platform Services (SEPS) seeks a Payments Operations Analyst to support payment orchestration and related commerce services globally. The role spans platform operations, onboarding readiness, issue coordination, testing, and process documentation.

The successful candidate will partner with SIE Global Payments, SEPS, product, engineering, risk, fraud and regional teams to ensure payment services are reliable, measurable and scalable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payment operations or related operational analytics.
• Experience monitoring operational performance, identifying issues and coordinating follow-up actions across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with UAT, production testing, incident tracking, reconciliation, or operational readiness processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain documentation, logs and status reporting.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across operations, product, engineering, finance, risk, fraud, customer support or external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency using approved AI tools to accelerate analysis while validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payment performance, transaction trends and operational indicators; produce reporting and issue tracking.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on payment performance, onboarding status, risks and follow-up actions.
• Interpret data with stakeholders and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Support onboarding and readiness activities including PSP setup, testing coordination, and other tasks.
• Maintain trackers and materials for payment success plans and service reviews.
• Coordinate payment-related issue triage across Sony operating companies and PSPs.
• Support UAT, production testing and post-launch checks for new payment methods and platform changes.
• Document repeatable processes, configuration requirements and escalation paths.
• Assist with payment analysis to reduce friction and improve reliability or cost optimization.
• Collaborate with risk, fraud, data science and platform teams on payment data feedback loops.
• Represent operational insights in internal planning discussions.
