Sanofi is seeking a Patient Privacy Officer & Counsel to lead global data privacy strategy across R&D. You will drive privacy-by-design, manage risks, and ensure patient rights are protected while enabling innovation. This role requires deep regulatory knowledge and collaboration with Legal, R&D, and Government Affairs.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 7+ years in data privacy, and privacy certifications. This position supports Sanofi in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and safeguarding

Qualifications

JD required with US license to practice law
Minimum 7 years in data privacy
Knowledge of US state and federal privacy laws (CCPA, HIPAA)
CIPP/US or CIPM preferred

Responsibilities

Act as global officer and privacy expert for data privacy across R&D
Drive privacy-by-design and risk monitoring for new projects
Lead transversal privacy initiatives aligned with regulations and ethics
Monitor privacy risks and ensure compliance with local practices
Co-author internal position papers with Legal, R&D and Government Affairs
Oversee patient rights requests and response processes
Close actions from regulatory inspections and internal audits
