The position partners with legal, compliance, product, commercial, medical, information security, marketing, and business teams to enable responsible data use while protecting patient trust.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active U.S. bar in good standing.
• 7+ years of progressive legal experience, with 5+ years in data privacy for healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience advising on HIPAA, GDPR, FTC Act, CCPA and genetic privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide privacy legal guidance with minimal reliance on outside counsel.
• Stay current on U.S. and international privacy laws relevant to healthcare and research.
• Advise on informed consent, HIPAA authorization, research protocols, and secondary data use.
• Advise on de-identification, pseudonymization, and anonymization standards.
