Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte in Washington, DC seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Partners & Counsel to support global lateral partner recruiting. The role coordinates candidates with the partner recruiting team and search firms to ensure a seamless experience and alignment with firm goals.

The successful candidate will manage the interview process, oversee due diligence, advance candidates, and collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years recruiting experience in a legal environment.
• At least 3 years focused on Partner or Lateral Associate Recruiting preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Understand the firm’s brand, markets, and global strategy to evaluate candidates.
• Assist with lateral partner hiring initiatives aligned with firm priorities.
• Own and oversee candidate interview and evaluation process.
• Manage end-to-end due diligence workflows and issue resolution.
• Develop relationships with recruitment agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with end-stage offer processes and draft candidate documentation.
