Job summary

Owens & Minor in the United States seeks a Global Category Manager – Packaging to lead a 12–36 month worldwide sourcing plan and manage $100M in spend.

You will shape category strategy, drive cost savings, oversee supplier relationships, and ensure ESG and brand standards while coordinating with R&D, Marketing, Operations and Quality.

This role offers remote/hybrid flexibility with up to 10% travel to support global packaging portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience managing complex packaging portfolios in FMCG/chemical sectors.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 12–36 month global packaging category strategy.
• Structure and enforce agreements with market benchmarks.
• Lead total cost modeling and monitor material trends.
• Align with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Quality for centralized control.
• Drive ESG initiatives including recycled content and lightweighting.
