Job summary

Owens & Minor, a global healthcare solutions company, is seeking a Global Category Manager – Packaging responsible for a 12–36 month worldwide sourcing plan and managing $100 MM in spend. In a center-led hybrid model, you will negotiate, design contracting frameworks, and collaborate with R&D and Marketing to optimize total cost while protecting brand standards.

Candidates should have a strong background in packaging manufacturing and should-cost modeling, plus ERP experience and APICS/ISM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a highly analytical discipline required (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years global procurement experience in packaging or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a 12–36 month global packaging category strategy.
• Lead cost savings through total cost modeling and index-based contracts.
• Align with Marketing, R&D, Operations to enable site-level execution.
• Manage 1–2 packaging spend resources and coach regional teams.
• Track supplier performance and KPIs across quality and delivery.
