Owens & Minor is seeking a Global Category Manager – Packaging to lead a 12–36 month worldwide sourcing plan, managing $100M in spend and driving cost savings through strategic packaging sourcing.

In a center-led hybrid model, you will partner with R&D, Marketing, and Operations to optimize total cost, secure supplier resilience, and deliver ESG packaging innovations while leading a small team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of global procurement experience managing packaging portfolios.
• Deep understanding of packaging manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience with ERP and e-procurement tools such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver a 12–36 month global packaging category strategy.
• Lead cost and total cost of ownership improvements with supplier leverage.
• Structure and enforce index-linked contracts, separating inputs from conversion costs.
• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Operations and Quality for centralized control.
• Drive sustainability through recycled content, lightweighting and standardization.
• Lead and coach regional procurement resources and cross-functional teams.
• Build should-cost and LPP models to identify savings opportunities.
• Provide executive-level updates on market dynamics and risk mitigation.
